Sanaa- At least 11 civilians were killed and another 33 were wounded when airstrikes by the Saudi-led military coalition destroyed six houses in the central Yemeni province of Eb.
Yemen’s state news agency SABA reported that the air raids took place on Monday night in the village of Yarin , while a missile struck the exit of Sanaa International Airport, resulting in no casualties as it was closed to both the public and staff.
Another missile destroyed five civilian houses near the airport, also causing no causalities, as inhabitants have fled the area since the airstrikes began last Thursday.
At least 40 civilians were killed on Monday, while 250 others were wounded when air raids by the Arab coalition hit a camp for internally displaced people in northeastern Yemen, which was denounced by the Houthi defense authority.
Saudi Arabia has been leading the coalition, composed of Gulf Cooperation Council countries, Jordan, Egypt, Sudan and Morocco, against the Houthis in Yemen in a series of airstrikes to take back territories seized by the militant Shiite group.
According to ICRC, Yemen is witness to a very serious humanitarian crisis. “The hospitals are running at a low capacity”, it said.
