Srinagar- Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura Thursday organized Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with NIT Hazratbal, Srinagar.
The Department of Blood Transfusion and Immunohematology (BT&IH), SKIMS, organized a voluntary blood donation camp in collaboration with NIT, Hazratbal on the eve of “NCC DAY” on 27.11.2022 aimed to create awareness among general public about the importance of blood donation.
After proper donor screening and medical examination and following all the SOPS recommended by DGHS&MHF GoI, more than 45 donors donated blood.
HOD Blood Transfusion & Immunohematology (BT&IH) informed that the event saw enthusiastic participation from the members of all the communities, who came in large numbers to be part of the blood donation campaign.
After donating the Blood, the Donors were given a Donation certificate by the Department of BT&IH SKIMS.
Doctors of BT&IH encouraged the community to donate blood at regular intervals as blood donation is considered as one of the best ways of helping mankind. There is a global call for people to come forward and donate blood voluntarily.
