Srinagar- Ahead of the much awaited Fifa World cup match between arch rivals US and Iran on Tuesday evening, some elated Iran’s Team-e-Milli fans have purchased fresh LED TV’s for the match.
Ibrahim Mukhtar, a sales marketer from Moti Mohalla Dal said that he is not a very big fan of Football but he likes Iran as a country.
Ibrahim said although he purchased the LED TV for around Rs13,000 yesterday, however, installation of the ‘gadget’ is still an issue.
“The man from the company is coming to install it. He told me, is on the way, I categorically told him, if he doesn’t install it by tonight, he will have to take it back” Ibrahim said.
“Being a Muslim, I support the Iranian team, I don’t like the US, I hope match turns in our favor,” Mukhtar said.
Hilal Akbar, from North Kashmir’s Delina town said he is thankful to his brother who purchased an LED for the match.
“My brother bought this out of his own pocket. We plan to watch the match together with family and friends. We desperately want Iran to win” Hilal said.
Javeed Ali is another Iran fan from the downtown area of Srinagar. His reasons for supporting the Iranian team are political.
“I purchased a gigantic smart TV for the Wednesday clash between Islamic Republic of Iran and the US. I desperately want Iran to beat US to crush their arrogance and conceit”
“I want to watch it live on the fresh gadget”.
“Iran is currently being targeted by the Western powers from all sides. There is a massive media propaganda and misinformation being spread against Iran. In this scenario, Iran terribly needs a win which can bring some solace to the people of Iran in general and Muslim World in particular”
We are praying that Iran hammers US in Wednesday’s soccer encounter, Insha Allah” Javeed said.
