NEW DELHI: Maintaining that there was no disruption in its flight services to Jammu and Srinagar so far, budget carrier IndiGo on Monday said it is keeping a close watch on the flood-hit region.
“We are in touch with our local teams for early indications of possible disruptions in flight operations. As of now our operations to Jammu and Srinagar is continuing as per schedule,” Indigo, which operates daily flight services to Jammu and Srinagar, said in a statement on Monday.
Several areas of the Valley and parts of Jammu were in deluge caused by rains due to which seven people have died and fate of 13 others was unknown.
Besides IndiGo, other carriers — Air India, Jet Airways, GoAir and SpiceJet — also fly to Srinagar from various destinations including Delhi and Mumbai.
When contacted, both Jet Airways and GoAir said their operations were going on without any disruption so far.
