JAMMU: A delegation from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), called on Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs and Relief & Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Bukhari, here today.
The ICRC delegation comprising Head of the Regional Delegation ICRC New Delhi, Mary Werntz, Head of Jammu Office ICRC, Danielle and Communication Advisor ICRC, Surinder Oberoi, informed the Minister about various programmes of the organization in the State including Supporting Emergency Relief, Physical Rehab Centres, Emergency Trauma Trainings for medics, Relief Material to hospitals among others.
The Minister discussed and appreciated various areas of work of the organization and said that other areas may also be explored in which the organization can be of support to the State Administration, especially after the unprecedented September 2014 floods in the State that resulted in loss of life and property.
