SRINAGAR- Jammu & Kashmir Softball Under-14 Boys & Girls teams left for Softball National Championship from Jammu on Tuesday.
Waseem Raja Khan, General Secretary J&K Softball Association, flagged off the teams for the 35th Sub-Junior National Softball championship to be held at Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh from 25th to 29th November, 2022.
Speaking during the flagging off ceremony, he highlighted the role of JKSC and said that this Olympic sport of Softball is included in SRO earlier called SRO-376 which is now presently called SO-12 (Appointment of Outstanding Sports Persons) and produced many National Medallist and Internationalist in J&K since from 2000.
The General Secretary added that 38 member team, which includes 16 Boys, 16 Girls, 4 Coaches and 2 Managers, will perform well and bring laurels for J&K. He was accompanied by Padam Dev Singh Joint Secretary JKSA, Harvinder Singh Softball NIS Coach and Sudhir Singh, Member Diciplinary Commitee of the Association.
The 35th Sub- Junior National championship is being organized by Andhra Pradesh Softball Association under the aegis of Softball Association of India. The J&K UT teams will participate in Nationals under the banner of J&K Softball Association and supported by J&K Sports Council.
