ANANTNAG: According to District Enforcement Officer Anantnag /Pulwama 180 inspections were conducted under fertilizer control order and 130 inspections under Insecticide Act 1968 by the agency and 35, 15 samples were analyzed besides orders for sale stop were issued in favour of five insecticide dealers during the period in Pulwama and Anantnag. Prosecution/FIR were filed against 5 dealers during the period. Five samples of insecticides were found sub standard. Warnings/ Notices were issued in favour of 15 insecticide dealers and 35 fertilizer dealers during the period.
Five samples of pesticides have been misbranded and the accused were prosecuted under various provisions of insecticide Act 1968 and a fine of Rs.37800 has been imposed upon the accused by the District Court Anantnag.
