BUDGAM: Three persons were killed and scores of others were injured when a passenger bus they were travelling in overturned at Palpora area of Central Kashmirs Budgam district on Friday.
A police official said that the bus bearing registration number JK02L/1677 on way from Raithan to Srinagar skidded off the road near Palpora in Budgam.
Three persons died in the mishap on the spot and they were identified as Ghulam Hasan Bhat, son of Ali Mohammad resident of Gurweth, Khan Sahib, Manzorr Ahmad Sheikh son of Mohammad Sultan resident of Hasegund, Khan Sahib and Ejaz Ahmad Lohar son of Abdul Gani resident of Gurweth, Khan Sahib.
Fifteen more passengers received injuries and were shifted to Srinagar hospitals for treatment, he said
Meanwhile, police has registered a case in this regard and started further investigations in this regard.
