Jammu: Minister for Finance, Dr. Haseeb Drabu informed the House that the Government by way of financial support provides a monthly voluntary service allowance, under different slabs, to all unemployed educated youth for three years having educational qualification of matriculation and above and within the age group of 26 to 37 years in the State.
This was stated by the Minister while replying to a question by Mr. Mohammad Akbar Lone. He said in this regard no fresh proposal is presently under consideration of the Government.
In reply to another question by Mr. Vikar Rasool, the Finance Minister informed the House that there is no proposal to increase the allocation of funds under BAD Pocket Scheme for the development of backward regions of the State.
The Minister said the entitlement under CDF has been enhanced during 2012-13 from Rs. 1 crore to Rs. 1.50 crore per annum adding that as present there is no proposal for its further enhancement.
He also informed the House about the status of decision taken in District Development Board meetings in Ramban.
Legislators Mr. Nazir Ahmed Gurezi, Mr. Asgar Karbalai, Mr. G. M. Saroori raised the supplementaries and demanded the enhancement of BAD Pocket Funds besides inclusion of all backward areas under BP Scheme.
