Srinagar- A traffic policeman was crushed to death by a truck in a hit and run accident in Udhampur district of the Jammu region, reports said Friday.
The policeman identified as Mohan Lal was manning Garnai Naka in the district on Thursday night when a truck ran over him, reports said. The injured policeman was removed to the hospital for treatment. However, the doctors there declared him dead.
The driver, reports said, fled from the scene after crushing the policeman to death.
Meanwhile, Police have taken cognizance of the incident and launched a hunt to trace the erring driver.
