Srinagar: The senior PDP leader and R&B minister Syed Altaf Bukhari Monday while rejecting the reports that the recent reshuffle in the state administration was politically motivated, said the measure was taken according to merit and in the best interests of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Congress earlier had accused that the transfers in the civil and police administration was a politically motivated step and a measure aimed at installing blue eyed on the key posts.
Those who are leveling these allegations must come out in open to indentify who the blue eyed persons are who have been installed at important positions in Jammu and Kashmir, Bukhari said.
He added that the transfers in the administration were done to ensure maximum governance and to make the system more effective and transparent. Transfer is no punishment. The measure is taken in the interests of the state and not against any individual.
