PAMPORE- The 10-Day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP) under Mission Youth’s Tejaswini (The Radiant) livelihood scheme concluded today at the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) campus here.
The EDP was organized by the JKEDI for the aspiring female entrepreneurs of district Pulwama. During the 10- Day EDP, the candidates were apprised about basic business concepts like business plan formulation, marketing plans, accounts management, and many other topics of relevance.
The program was coordinated by JKEDI District Centre, Pulwama while the training was imparted by a team of trainers including Saba Nazir, Assistant Faculty and Aayatullah Bashir, Associate Project Manager. Officials from the J&K Bank, District Employment and Counselling Centre, Pulwama, District Industries Centre, Pulwama, Animal Husbandry Department, Pulwama, Labour Department, Pulwama, among others were also invited as guest faculty to brief the participant trainees about different facets of the livelihood generation scheme
Speaking during the valedictory session of the EDP, Incharge Trainings (K), JKEDI, Dr. M,D Bhat said that unemployment is a serious issue and entrepreneurship is the only solution to this problem. He congratulated the aspiring female entrepreneurs for taking timely and life changing decision by choosing entrepreneurship as their career choice.
In his address, District Nodal Officer, JKEDI, Pulwama, Ansarullah Machloo, highlighted the scope of entrepreneurship and its contribution in the economic development of J&K.
Assistant Director, District Employment and Counseling Centre, Pulwama, Hafsa Qayoom, on the occasion distributed training certificates to the participants.
Sharing their experiences at the valediction ceremony, the trained female entrepreneurs said that the training programme has given them a great deal of confidence to start their entrepreneurial journey.
Pertinent to mention, the Tejaswini scheme is a special endeavour of Mission Youth to empower young women and enable them to become self-reliant. The trained female candidates under the scheme shall be facilitated to avail financial assistance to the extent of Rs 5.00 lakhs.
