Srinagar- The traffic police on Monday issued an advisory for the smooth movement of vehicles along the Srinagar-Uri highway in wake of Home Minister, Amit Shah’s visit to the North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The advisory was issued by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic, Rural Kashmir on Monday in view of Shah’s public rally in Baramulla’s Showkat Ali Stadium scheduled to be held on Wednesday.
“In view of public rally at Showkat Ali Stadium Baramulla on 5th of October-2022, motorists who are intending to travel from Srinagar to Baramulla and Uri and vice-versa are advised to adopt designated routes to reach their destinations on said date,” reads the advisory.
According to the advisory, the traffic from Srinagar to Baramulla and Uri will pass through Pattan – Sangrama – Sopore – Fruit Mandi – Ladoora – Azad Gunj – Khanpora Bridge. Similarly, Srinagar bound vehicles will take Khanpora Bridge – Azad Gunj – Ladoora- Fruit Mandi- Sopore- Sangrama and Pattan route to reach Srinagar.
The Home Minister arrived in Jammu on Monday evening amid unprecedented security arrangements in the Union Territory. Shah is scheduled to address a public rally in Baramulla in which over 30,000 people, including senior BJP leaders of the Valley and Jammu division are expected to take part.
