Srinagar– At least 22 more people tested positive for Coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, taking the number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic in the Union Territory to 479137.
16 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in the Kashmir Valley and the remaining six from Jammu division, officials said Thursday.
In the Valley, they said, Srinagar detected the highest 12 new cases of virus,
Pulwama 2, Budgam and Kupwara one each. No new cases were reported from the other six districts of the Valley.
In the winter capital, officials said, Doda reported 3 new cases of infection, while one case each was registered in Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts.
Also, the officials said that the death toll in the pandemic remained unchanged at 4785, as no fresh fatality was reported during the last 24 hours.
“Moreover, 19 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 02fromJammu division and 17from Kashmir division,” they added.
