Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir reported 18 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus on Tuesday, taking the number of people infected since the onset of pandemic in the Union Territory to 479102.
Officials said that 11 new cases were detected in Kashmir Valley and the remaining seven from Jammu division.
In the Valley, they said, Srinagar reported 8 new cases of virus, Budgam 2 and Kulgam one. The remaining seven districts reported no new cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday.
In the winter capital, Jammu reported 3 new cases of infection, Samba 2 while
Udhampur and Kishtwar registered one new case each.
Also, the officials said that the death toll in the pandemic remained unchanged at 4785 in J&K—2352 in Jammu division and 2433 in the Valley, as no fresh fatality was reported during the last 24 hours.
“Moreover, 17 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 08 from Jammu division and 09 from Kashmir division,” they added.
