RAJOURI: A jawan has allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The incident took place on Wednesday evening when naik S Vinayak took out his service rifle and shot himself at an Army camp of 38 Rastriya Rifles (RR) in Thanamandi belt of Rajouri district, an Army officer said on Thursday.
Vinayak was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead and police registered a case and have started investigation into it, he said.
Army has ordered a court of inquiry into the incident.
