Baramulla: Residents of Bijhama Uri in North Kashmirs Baramulla district are up in arms against government for delaying the deployment of requisite staff to make the Community Development (CD) block functional in the district.
The residents complained that previous government that created CD blocks in Boniyar and Bijhama in Uri town did not take pains to made these blocks functional.
People have been suffering as CD Block Bijhama is non-functional. All the requisite staff meant for CD Block Bijhama have been shifted to Boniyar Block while no steps are being taken to deploy staff in Bijhama, the residents said adding that despite bringing the issue into the notice to top administrative officials nothing positive came out.
When contacted, a district administration official said that CD Block Bijhama would be made functional in coming few days.
