Jammu- The Central Bureau of Communication, U.T of J&K and Ladakh will organize multi- faceted cultural and patriotic programmes during the nine day long Navratra Festival-2022, beginning 26th September.
In this regard, Director Tourism Jammu, Vivekanand Rai and the Joint Director Central Bureau of Communication, U.T of J&K and Ladakh Ghulam Abbas held a meeting to review and finalize the arrangements and activities being undertaken by the Central Bureau of Communication during the festival.
Abbas informed that CBC will put up a Mega Exhibition on different themes with a special focus on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and the freedom struggle of India, showcasing unsung heroes of the freedom struggle. The publicity activities will also include the awareness about ‘Swaraj Serial’ being telecast on Doordarshan, Azadi Quest- a series of online educational mobile games and other developmental schemes of the Central Government.
During the festival, the artists of the department and other empaneled private troupes will present cultural programmes on religious themes and various other developmental themes announced by the Central Government. The Cultural Troupes from other States viz; Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Chennai, Kohima, Kolkata and Ladakh will also enthrall the audiences.
He further informed that as part of Pre-publicity activity, the Field Offices of CBC will organize various programmes like; Quiz, Painting Competitions and Seminars to motivate the public to participate in the festival on a large scale.
The Director Tourism assured that the Tourism Department will provide every possible support to CBC during the festival to make it successful. Both the officers also discussed the strategy for pre publicity of the event in coordination with PIB and JKDIPR.
Among others, the meeting was also attended Ravinder Vaishnavi, Durga Prakash from Central Bureau of Communication and Ms. Sheena Sahni, Assistant Director Tourism, Jammu and Ms. Mehak Gupta, Accounts Officer, Tourism Department, Jammu.
