Jammu, Mar 7 (KNS): Dr. Khurshid Andrabi, Vice Chancellor, Kashmir University, called on Governor, N.N. Vohra, Chancellor of the University, here at the Raj Bhavan, yesterday.
Dr. Andrabi briefed the Governor about the to-date status of staff positioning and infrastructure development and also discussed several important academic and administrative issues which are pending decisions. He also informed the Governor about the forthcoming Young Scientists Meet in which Nobel Laureate Prof. Tim Hunt shall be participating and the Special Convocation to be held on 1st April to honour Dr. C.N.R. Rao, recipient of Bharat Ratna.
The Governor discussed with Dr. Andrabi issues relating to the Leh, Kargil and Baramulla off-site Campuses and the need for ensuring early functioning of the two Campuses in the Ladakh region.
