Srinagar- At least 58 more people tested positive for Coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, taking the number of people infected since the onset of pandemic in the Union Territory to 478415.
According to officials, 51 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in Kashmir Valley while the remaining seven cases were detected in the Jammu division.
In the Valley, they said, Srinagar reported the highest 23 new cases of virus, Budgam 9, Kupwara 6, Baramulla and Kulgam 4 each, Shopian and Pulwama 2, each and Bandipora 1. No cases were detected in the two districts of Ganderbal and Anantnag.
In the winter capital, officials said, Jammu reported a maximum of 4 new cases of virus, Doda 2 and Samba 1. The remaining seven districts of Kathua, Kishtwar, Poonch, Ramban, Reasi, Udhampur and Rajouri registered no new cases of Covid-19.
Also, the officials said that the death toll in the pandemic remained unchanged at 4783, as no fresh fatality was reported during the last 24 hours.
“Moreover, 118 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 15 from Jammu division and 103from Kashmir division,” they added.
