Srinagar- At least 26 passengers, four among them from Bihar, were injured on Friday in two separate road accidents in the twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri in Jammu division.
According to officials, 14 passengers were injured when the vehicle (JK12-5772) they were travelling in, met with an accident on Poonch-Digwar road on Friday morning. All the injured were shifted to district hospital Poonch for treatment.
The injured include four residents of Bihar, who have been identified as Aparnav, Raj Kumar, Mansoor Mian and Ram Bahadur.
Other injured have been identified as Zaheen Akhter, Taj Mohammad, Mohammad Rafiq, Mohammad Hanief, Mohammad Suleman, Ritu Sharma, Resham Bi, Shabnam Akhter, Mohammad Hanief and Tarlochan Singh.
Meanwhile, 12 more passengers were injured in a separate road accident in the neighbouring Rajouri district.
The accident took place at Sehar village in Kalakote sub-division of Rajouri district on Friday when a minibus (JK11-1257) was hit by a truck.
The injured have been identified as Sham Lal, Sakina Bi, Naik Ram, Mohammad Amin, Asham Bi, Anwar Hussain, Ghulam Qadir, Chandrika Devi, Neetu Devi, Kamla Devi, Seema Sharma and Ghulam Hussain.
Police said that the vehicle has been seized and all the injured are undergoing treatment in CHC Kalakote. (KNO)
