Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir reported 131 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus on Tuesday while no fresh fatality was reported from the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
Kashmir Valley reported 109 new cases of Covid-19 while 22 others were detected in Jammu division, taking the total number of peop le infected since the onset of pandemic in J&K to 477644, officials said Tuesday.
In the Valley, they said, Srinagar detected the highest 40 new cases of virus, Kupwara 18, Budgam 16, Baramulla 13, Anantnag 6, Ganderbal 5,Pulwama 4, Bandipora 3, Kulgam and Shopian two each.
In the winter capital, officials said, Jammu registered a maximum of 18 new cases of infection, Kishtwar 2 and one new case each in Samba and Ramban. No new cases were reported from the remaining districts of Udhampur, Rajouri, Doda, Kathua, Poonch and Reasi.
Also, the officials said that the death toll in the pandemic remained unchanged at 4782, as no new death was reported in the UT during the last 24 hours.
“Moreover, 260 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 50 from Jammu division and 210 from Kashmir division,” they added.
