NEW DELHI- BCCI on Wednesday, August 24, named Jammu-born Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Umran Malik in the 16-memeber India A squad for the New Zealand series starting September 1.
The Men In Blue will play three unofficial tests and as many white-ball matches against the Kiwis. Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium is scheduled to host the first and the third test, while the second match will take place at Hubli’s Rajnagar Stadium.
Squads for the white-ball series will announced later.
Mumbai Indians’ Tilak Varma has also been named in the India A squad. The others notable names include Rajat Patidar, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sarfaraz Khan.
