Srinagar: Governor N.N. Vohra today reviewed the to-date status of financial assistance under the Prime Ministers National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for reconstruction of fully damaged houses in J&K due to the September 2014 floods.
The Raj Bhavan Spokesperson disclosed that as per the to-date status report submitted by the National Disaster management Authority (NDMA), Rs. 115.81crore has been released to 16,478 beneficiaries in respect of fully damaged pucca and kutcha houses. This financial assistance includes Rs. 73.55 crore for 7,355 pucca and Rs. 42.26 crore for 8,453 kutcha houses.
For Jammu Division, financial assistance of Rs. 41.80crore has been released which includes Rs.2.09 crore for 209 pucca houses and Rs.39.71crore for 7942 kutcha houses. Similarly, for Kashmir Division Rs.74.01crore has been released which includes Rs.71.46 crore for 7146 pucca houses and Rs.2.55 crore for 511 kutcha houses.
It may be recalled that the Governor had directed the Divisional Commissioners of Kashmir and Jammu to ensure that the requisite information sought by the NDMA regarding full details of Bank Accounts in respect of the remaining cases is immediately made available to them.
