Srinagar: While terming the release of the fake encounter specialist of Gujarat police D G Vanzara as murder of justice and an eye opener for the advocators and admirers of the Indian democracy, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani Friday said that these types of decisions are not any surprise but it is quite expected in the so-called democratic system of India.
In an emailed statement from New Delhi, he alleged, D G Vanzara who is the main culprit in the fake encounter cases of Ishrat Jahan and Sohrabuddin in which many innocent people lost their lives, was released on bail by the Gujrat court. These decisions are politically motivated and have nothing to do with the justice. These kinds of decisions have virtually changed the definition of the justice in India because the criminals and killers are being set free and innocent people are implicated and framed in one way or other.
On the one hand hundreds of innocent Muslim youths are languishing in Indian jails from past many years and nobody has any concern with their release and on the other hand excuse and reasons are being explored for the release of criminals and killers. More than 50 Kashmiris are serving life imprisonment in the different jails of India and for them the judiciary changed the definition of the life imprisonment because the Indian government doesnt want their release, he claimed.
