Srinagar: People of several localities of Pulwama town Wednesday said they are facing difficulties due to unscheduled power curtailment.
The locals of south Kashmir town told GNS that despite electricity meters, they are subjected to curtailment. The localities, where curtailment occurs, include Wasbug, Malikpora, Dallipora, New Colony and Dangarpora.
However, an official blamed damage to 6.3 KVA power transformer in Grid Station for curtailment and said it would take some 15 to 20 days for repairing it.
The Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Gulzar Ahmad told GNS that the transformer which got damaged due to overload supplies electricity to Tahab, Wasoora, Trichal, Chandgam areas of the district Pulwama. However, till it is repaired, we are temporarily using another transformer for the affected areas, he said. (GNS)
