SRINAGAR: On the directions of Chief Judicial Magistrate Srinagar, police Tuesday registered an FIR against a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) officer and a lady medical officer for hatching a criminal conspiracy to implicate a man in a fabricated attempt to murder and rape case.
The accused CRPF officer, Satyaveer Singh Verma, who is second in Command to the Commandant of 44 Battalion of CRPF at Zainakote Srinagar, lady doctor, Pawanjeet Kour of Mattan, Anantnag in league with Muhammad Jameel, then Probationary Sub Inspector at Parimpora Police Station had falsely implicated one Deepak Kumar Kapoor son of Madan Lal resident of Kokar Bazar, Maisuma Srinagar for attempt to rape (376) and attempt to murder (307) of the woman doctor at her office in 44-Bn Zainakote in September 2013, where she is posted as contractual Medical Officer.
The Counsel for the petitioner had informed the court that lady medical officer Pawanjeet Kour was having relations with the applicant Deepak Kumar Kapoor from past 14 years. He informed the Court that lady medical officer got a job on contract in CRPF 44 battalion HMT Srinagar, where she developed illicit relationship with CRPF officer Satyaveer Singh Verma and when the lady realized that Deepak has come to know about her relationship with the CRPF officer, she along with the CRPF officer hatched a criminal conspiracy and implicated Deepak in a false case under section 376,511,452,307,323 registered at police station Parimpora.
The lady officer called Deepak at her office in Zainakot and in a planned manner, accused him of trying to rape her, while the CRPF officer fired two bullets at the applicant. He escaped unhurt but was arrested by police, after Kour and Verma informed police that he had arrived there with the intention to rape and murder, the Counsel of Deepak had informed the Court adding that Investigating Officer Muhammad Jameel helped the accused to implicate Deepak in a false case.
FIR against the Investigating Officer Muhammad Jameel has not been registered as according to the Court the investigation at this stage cant be faulted nor any illegality can be attributed to him. (CNS)
