Srinagar: Terming the statement of Director General Police (DGP) as immature, National Front Chairman, and Hurriyat (JK) leader, Nayeem Ahmad Khan Wednesday claimed such statements in fact encourage the police personnel to use unnecessary force against the unarmed protesting people.
Such unwarranted statements result in the killings of Kashmiris because they work as a message to cops that there is no accountability of their cruel actions DG police in a statement accused the pro-freedom leadership of provoking people to protest, he said in a statement.
Lambasting the DGP he said, Instead of arresting the cops involved in the killing of Farooq Ahmad Bhat DG police is issuing statements clearly indicating to hush up the case of a plain murder. These type of police officers consciously issue such statements aimed at saving and shielding the criminals who are busy in killing the innocent Kashmiri people.
These police officers are meant for creating distances between the pro-freedom leadership and the common people however, their actions on ground are witness to their wicked nature, Khan said.
He paid tributes to Farooq Ahmad Bhat and said that his blood will not be allowed to go waste. Days are not far off when the murderers of pro-freedom Kashmiris will be taken to task, Khan said.
He also hailed the people for remembering Mohammad Afzal Guru and Mohammad Maqbool Bhat and said that Kashmiris have once again exhibited that they cannot forget their martyrs who laid their lives for the cause of freedom.
