SRINAGAR: With the deadlock continuing over the government formation in Jammu and Kashmir, The Bharatiya Janata Party Tuesday said that the BJP-PDP combine will form the new government within next three days.
Both BJP and PDP leaders have reached an agreement over the government formation and I can tell you that the formal announcement will be made in the next three days, BJPs State General Secretary Asok Koul said, KNS reported.
Several top BJP leaders, including partys National General Secretary Ram Madhav, MP and in-charge J&K affairs Avinash Rai Khanna, will be here in next two days, sources said .
The development comes immediately after Delhi poll results were out.
Commenting on the results of Delhi polls Koul said that in Jammu and Kashmir people have given us the mandate with largest share of votes.
He said after the formation of government BJPs focus will be on developments and providing people of the state an opportunity for growth. The party promises that it will give a credible and stable government to the people of Jammu and Kashmir and will fulfill the aspirations of people, he said.
He also said that BJP-PDP government will be transparent and corruption-free government in the state that will focus on ensuring speedy development and provide employment opportunities to youth in the state.
It is to mention here that PDP has emerged as the single largest party with 28 seats in the 87-member Assembly followed closely by BJP with 25 seats while NC bagged 15 and Congress won 12.
