Srinagar: The massive mandate given by Delhi to AAP is an occasion for the secular and progressive forces of J&K to celebrate and rejoice, CPI (M) State Secretary M Y Tarigami said today.
In this historic mandate people have out-rightly rejected the divisive and communal plate form of BJP. This resounding mandate of AAP sends a clear message to all those who, out of sheer political opportunism continue to hobnob with communal forces just to share power. It is time for every conscious and emancipated citizen to draw a lesson and reject the machinations of opportunists and turn coats, he said.
Tarigami said it is also time for PDP leadership to learn lessons as the people have started realizing the divisive and pro-corporate agenda of Sangh parivar.
At least now, PDP should reconsider its decision to ally with BJP for government formation in the state. For the larger interest of our people and the secular ethos of J&K, PDP leadership should not give a fresh lease of life to BJP and should also desist from providing it a chance to legitimize its nefarious designs, Tarigami said.
