Srinagar: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) Tuesday condemned in strongest words killing of a youth and critically injuring three others by security forces at Palhalan area of North Kashmir.
President DAK Dr Nisar ul Hassan said that slaughtering an innocent civilian for raising voice against tyranny is barbaric and wanton disregard to humanity, the spokesperson Riyaz Daga in a statement.
This is a cold blooded murder and a crime against humanity which is unforgivable and unpardonable.
Security forces have unleashed a reign of terror and subjugation against Palhalan inhabitants and yesterday they were protesting against the atrocities committed against them when police fired indiscriminately which is brutal, he said.
People in Kashmir are not allowed to protest which is an inalienable right in a liberal democracy and curbing civil liberties is gross human rights violation, he said.
The unchecked security forces have no fear of accountability and they enjoy the impunity for systematic killing spree of youth.
He said that we cannot be mute spectators to this bloodshed and nation has a collective responsibility to agitate and protest against these innocent civilian killings.
Culprits of this heinous and grave capital crime should be booked for murder and punished with death sentence.
International human rights organizations are duty bound to take cognizance of these civilian killings and intervene to put an end to this bloodbath, he added.
