The MCA has decided to clear all kinds of encroachments from the footpaths and roads. Talking to the Kashmir Observer MCA chief Secretary Mr Tariq Ahmad said that the corporation has already seized around 40 carts from the market roads and slapped fine on them. They have given us written affidavit that they will not enter in the market roads again, he said.
He further said that MCA plan is to keep the city free from hurdles like traffic jams and create more walking space for pedestrians.
Wrong parking has became a nuisance for the people as it leads to traffic jams, he added.
