The General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 15 Corps, Lt General Amardeep Singh Aujla called on the LG at the Raj Bhavan here on Wednesday and briefed him about the prevailing security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir, an official spokesperson said.
He said that discussions were also held on various important issues related to internal security management in J&K.
“The Lt Governor emphasized on the need for constant alertness, and synergy among Security Agencies and Civil Administration to meet the security challenges in J&K, ensuring safe and secure environment for the people,” the spokesperson added.
The meeting between Sinha and the senior army officer comes in the backdrop of a spurt in militant attacks, especially the killing of a school teacher from Jammu division in Tuesday’s militant attack in Kulgam district.
