Baramulla- The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha on Saturday met the family members of a policeman who was killed in an encounter with militants here early this week.
Sinha, who was flanked by Inspector General of police (IGP) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar visited the residence of Mudasir Ahmad in Uri here, and expressing his heartfelt condolences to the family members, an official spokesperson said Saturday.
Sinha said that the Nation is blessed to have such sons of the soil like Mudasir.
“The supreme sacrifice of the Braveheart will be eternally remembered,” he said, and assured the family members of all possible support from the government.
Besides IGP Kashmir, DIG North Kashmir Uday Bhasker, SSP Baramulla Rayees Mohammad and Deputy Commissioner Dr Sehrish Asgar were present on the occasion.
