Srinagar: Expressing satisfaction over the work of the two member committee formed by Hurriyat Conference (M) to contact other pro-movement political groups, members of legal fraternity and civil society groups to adopt a uniform approach on resistance movement related issues, the separatist conglomerate Friday said that it will make all possible efforts to bring about unity of purpose and joint approach in the path of resistance .
This was stated in a joint meeting of Hurriyat (M) Executive Council, General Council and Working Committee chaired by the former chairman Prof Abdul Gani Bhat and attended by all heads or representatives of Hurriyat constituents, a spokesman of the Hurriyat (M) said in a statement.
Taking detailed view of the organizational and ongoing political matters, the meeting discussed threadbare US President Barrack Obamas visit to India and its political significance for the South Asian region, he said.
Terming the solution of Kashmir inevitable for the peace and prosperity of Sub-Continent, the participants stressed upon the US that being the sole super power it should utilize its influence and offices to press for a dialogue between the stakeholders to the Kashmir dispute so that issue could be solved amicably in a friendly atmosphere. The participants stated that politics based on hegemony and violent mindset create negative impact on the economics and prosperity of a state, adding, instead of adopting violence, a flexible political approach can prove to be more effective tool in solving the political issues, the spokesman added.
The participants while out rightly rejecting the aggressive behaviors, saying that intransigence and violent strategies would only complicate the issues and push the millions of people of South Asia into an uncertain situation. The participants stressed that more steps are needed to make Hurriyat Conference strong on grass root level. The participants paid rich tributes to Tral slain militants and said that Hurriyat (M) would continue the fight for freedom till the mission of martyrs is completed, he added.
