SRINAGAR: The sacred relic of revered Sufi saint Shiekh Syed Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RA) will be placed back at its original position in the newly constructed shrine in Khaniyar area on Thursday, caretaker (Sajada Nisheen) Khalid Hussain Geelani said on Wednesday . The centuries old shrine was gutted in a mysterious blaze in 2012.
The ceremony will be held on Thursday after Zuhar prayers, he said. After the mysterious blaze the relic was kept at a safe place and now when the construction of the shrine has been completed it will be put back to its original position tomorrow, he said.
