Srinagar – A copy of the Urdu version of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir, brought out by the Meezan Publishers, Srinagar, was presented to . N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan here this evening.
Interacting with a group of the office bearers of the Meezan Publishers and promoters of Urdu language, on this occasion, the Governor observed that the availability of the States Constitution in Urdu would enable a large number of interested persons to get acquainted with the citizens rights and duties. He added that such awareness shall, in turn, engender an informed citizenry which can serve as an effective watchdog of governance.
The Governor observed that Urdu version of the States Constitution would be a useful addition to all the libraries and particularly benefit Urdu readers.
