Qazigund: Police Monday seized two load carriers and arrested four persons for stealing 26 fire extinguishers from highly guarded Banihal Tunnel.
Police sources said that four persons boarding in two load carriers stole all but 26 fire extinguishers from Banihal Tunnel. Reports added that all these persons after stealing these fire extinguishers were intercepted by a police party from Qazigund police station headed by Divisional Officer Muhammad Younis Khan. We recovered 26 fire extinguishers from the two load carriers (JK18-7639 and JK03B-4835) and arrested four persons all residents of Bandh Ashmuji Qazigund, a police official said.
He identified the arrested persons as Amir Amin Wani, Sabzar Nisar pala, Sameer Mohiuddin Sheikh and Ghulam Qadir Bhat.
