Srinagar: JK Media Network, one of the leading media group in Jammu and Kashmir that recently launched first State based satellite news channel will now be available throughout country including Kashmir Valley. The news channel namely JK Channel will now be viewed not only across India but it will be aired by all the cable operators in Jammu and Kashmir.
JK Media in charge for Kashmir, Ishfaq Gowhar informed CNS that it will be the first State based channel that can be viewed anywhere in India and the special thing about the channel is that it is broadcasting from news stories about developments in Jammu and Kashmir. JK Media Group that also runs Gulistan News at national level is mulling to launch Urdu News Bulletin about Jammu and Kashmir on round the clock basis. Right now JK Channel broadcast Urdu news bulletin at 10:30 in morning, 1:30 and 3:30 in afternoon, 7:30, 8pm and 10:30 pm in the evening. Besides Urdu, the channel also puts Hindi news bulletin on air, Ishfaq Gowhar said and added that the Kashmir based team of the channel is availing all benefits and facilities and the team is in possession of an outdoor broadcasting (OB) van, that helped them to broadcast live coverage of the recently concluded Assembly elections.
He informed that JK Channel is soon going to start Kashmiri news bulletin. We are working on the process and once started it will be viewed by all the Kashmiri people residing outside state, Gowhar said.
