SRINAGAR, JANUARY 19: Urging the Cable Operators to provide better services to the subscribers, besides making Digital Addressable Cable TV System (DAS) operational within the stipulated time frame in the Valley, Director Information, Mr. Mukhtar-ul-Aziz asked the Cable Operators to take necessary initiatives for the transformation of existing cable system from Analogue to digital.
This was stated during a meeting with Cable Operators of the Valley held here today.
Among others, Joint Director Information Kashmir, Deputy Director Information Press and Public Relations Kashmir, District Information Officers, besides the Cable Operators from districts of Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag, Pulwama, Budgam and Ganderbal also attended the meeting.
Various issues pertaining to mechanism of content monitoring, besides provision of grievance redressal system were discussed threadbare.
Director Information on the occasion enjoined upon the Cable Operators to make a comprehensive plan for switching over to digital mode in their respective areas within the stipulated time frame.
