Awantipora- The Department of Electrical Engineering IUST wins the 2022 Inter Departmental Volleyball Tournament organised by the Directorate of Physical Education and Sports by defeating Department of Civil Engineering.
During the presentation ceremony Registrar Prof. Naseer Iqbal was chief Guest and Chairman Sports Committee and Finance officer Mr. Sameer Wazir was the Guest of Honour.
Prof. Naseer Iqbal congratulated both the teams and the sports department for their tireless efforts in organizing different sports events at the varsity. He announced that University will organise South Level Volleyball Tournament in which various colleges will take part.
Chairman Sports Committee also congratulated both the teams.
Earlier Dr. Hilal Ahmad Rather Assistant Director Physical Education and Sports welcomed the Chief Guest and briefed about the progress of Sports department and assured that the Directorate would be providing a good platform to the students and youth where they can excel and bring laurels to the University and the UT as well.
Altaf Hussain Shah and Majid Mukhdoomi were Match referees in the tournament.
