Srinagar: A man in north Kashmirs Bandipora district donated blood for the 136th time in his life, an official said here.
The official said the Shabbir Hussain Khan donated his blood at Sher-i-Kashmir stadium during a blood donation camp organized by army 14 Rashtriya Rifles.
The youth has been by facilitated by the army, the official said.
During the blood-donation camp, voluntary donors included civilians, MLA Bandipora Usman Majeed, personnel of army, Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), police, district Administration department, workers of HCC and NHPC donated their blood. The donors also included 12 ladies.
Technical assistance and team of doctors from two premier healthcare centers of the valley, SKIMS Medical College and Lala Ded, were also present on the occasion, he said.
A total of 320 units of blood were collected, the official added.
The Deputy Commsioner Bandipora, Dr Shah Faesal, was also present on the occasion.
