Poonch: A 52 year old man was injured and his leg got amputated in a mine blast near Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district, sources said Tuesday.
Sources told GNS that 52 years Muhammad Bashir, son of Mir Muhammad, resident of Bagyal in Dagwar village, was going somewhere when his foot fell on a planted mine resulting in critical injuries to him.
The man was immediately rushed to District Hospital Poonch and from where he was shifted to Government Medical Jammu for specialized treatment.
The area, where the incident occurred, falls under 28 Bihar regiment of 93 Infantry Brigade. (GNS)
