Jammu- A Sub-Inspector of the Border Security Force (BSF) was found dead on Tuesday inside his camp in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district, officials said.
Around 6:00pm Tuesday, the Sub-Inspector Ladup Bomza was found hanging from the ceiling of his quarter in Sunderbani area, officials said. The deceased hails from West Bengal.
A police officer told a local news agency GNS that inquest proceedings have been launched into the death of the BSF officer.
“Post-mortem has been conducted at Sub-district Hospital Sundarbani. After completion of legal formalities, the body has been handed over to BSF authorities,” he said.
The officer said that suicide was “definitely a possibility” but police investigation “will cover all other angles”.
