TEHRAN: Irans Parliament (Majlis) Speaker Ali Larijani says those supporting terrorism in the Middle East have now been targeted with terrorist attacks in their own countries.
Referring to the recent deadly terrorist attacks in France, Larijani said, These incidents showed that the countries that were behind terrorism in the Middle East have now become entangled [in trouble caused] by the very same terrorists.
He made the remarks while addressing a ceremony on Islamic unity in the northwestern Iranian city of Urumiyeh.
Larijani said that all Muslims are united in their teachings and beliefs but there are people who want to break this unity.
We (Muslims) all follow one religion; but, certain people are today creating irregularities in Islamic countries and they either have a mission for breaking unity or are so ill-minded as to seek to sow discord between Shias and Sunnis in the name of Takfirism, Larijani said.
He slammed the foreign sponsors of terrorism in the Middle East and said, They created numerous security problems by their presence in Iraq and Afghanistan. Look what has happened now; everything is messed up in France and no one has security.
