Kulgam : The tuition centers operating in Kulgam town have been directed to register themselves with the school education department within a week in default of which strict action will follow.
The direction to this effect was given during the inspection carried out by Assistant Commissioner Revenue on the direction of Deputy Commissioner Nisar Hussain Wani.
During the inspection, it was enjoined upon the proprietors to make adequate arrangements of heating besides ensuring separate classes for boys and girls with a reasonable strength. They were told to put in place clean washrooms with focus on overall sanitation.
As many as 11 tuition centers are operating in the district, most of which have applied for registration with CEO office following strict vigil by the district administration.
The Deputy Commissioner, who later chaired a meeting with the concerned officers stressed on effective monitoring of tuition centers to ensure that these institutes operate in conformity with Regulation of Private Tuition Centre Rules. He said constant vigil has to be maintained to ensure that such centers operate with basic minimum facilities for the overall welfare of the student community.
