Srinagar- Jammu and Kashmir reported on Thursday 35 fresh cases of novel Coronavirus while no fresh fatality was registered in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours.
According to the officials, 21 new cases of Covid-19 were detected in Kashmir Valley and the remaining 14 from Jammu division, taking the number of people infected since the outbreak of pandemic in J&K to 453382.
In the Valley, officials said, Budgam registered the highest eight new cases of Coronavirus, Srinagar 7, and two each in Baramulla, Bandipora and Kulgam. The five districts of Pulwama, Kupwara, Anantnag, Ganderbal and Shopian detected no new cases of Covid-19.
In the winter capital, officials said, Jammu reported a maximum of 13 fresh cases of virus while one in Ramban. No new cases of infection were reported from eight other districts of Udhampur, Rajouri, Doda, Kathua, Samba, Kishtwar, Poonch and Reasi.
“Moreover, 54 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and been discharged from various hospitals including 29 from Jammu Division and 25 from Kashmir Division,” they said.
Also, the officials said that the death toll due to the pandemic remained unchanged at 4749 in J&K—2326 in Jammu and 2423 in Kashmir, as no fresh fatality was reported during the last 24 hours.
