SRINAGAR, JANUARY 02: In view of snowfall in Srinagar Municipal limits and removal of snow from the roads and streets, the Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Mr. Farooq Ahmad Shah today convened a joint meeting of Engineering Departments and District Officers here today.
The meeting was attended by the Engineers of Mechanical Division, R&B, PHE departments, officers of Metrology and Fire and Emergency and Srinagar Municipal Corporation.
The Deputy Commissioner enjoined upon the Mechanical deptt, PWD and SMC to keep snow cutter machines ready for removal of snow from the roads. He also directed the Fire and Emergency Services and PHE departments to keep pump sets ready for dewatering of water in low lying areas which get submerged with water due to snowfall.
