Srinagar- For the first time in the last two years, no new cases of Coronavirus were reported on Friday at the Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar here, with officials saying that the third wave of highly contagious infection is almost over in Jammu and Kashmir.
Medical Superintendent of SMHS, Dr. Kanwaljeet Singh told Kashmir Observer that the Covid-19 third wave is almost over but people shouldn’t lower their guard.
“We had reserved two wards—19 and 20 of our hospital for COVID-19 patients but since there were no patients there, we fumigated it and closed it down,” Singh said.
He further added that people shouldn’t lower their guard as there are reports of a fourth wave in June and July. “So the precautions are better than cure,” he said.
