Tourism Dept., NTTA, NLCO condole demise
SRINAGAR- Department of Tourism, along with various adventure associations, have condoled the demise of well-known adventurer, Muhammad Yousuf, who passed away here on Wednesday after a brief illness.
In a condolence message, the Tourism Secretary Sarmad Hafeez recalled his contribution and prayed for his eternal solace.
Director, Tourism, Kashmir, Dr. G N Itoo has also expressed grief over the demise of late Muhammad Yousuf and conveyed his sympathies with bereaved family.
Late Muhammad Yousuf besides being very active in adventure sports was also the General Secretary of Adventure Tour Operators Association of Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Chairman Nigeen Tourist Traders Association (NTTA) and president Nigeen Lake Conservation Organisation (NLCO), Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo Wednesday expressed his deep condolences on the sad demise of Muhammad Yousuf.
In a statement, he said that the deceased rendered substantial contributions in the field of tourism, especially in adventure tourism.
“He was an extraordinary and legendary sportsman besides being a great adventure professional and his services in the field of adventure sports will be remembered forever,” he added.
He stated that Late Muhammad Yousuf rendered great services towards the environment and has led many ecological initiatives.
The statement further reads that NTTA & NLCO prays that the departed soul rest in eternal peace and may Almighty bestow courage and strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss. (With KNS inputs)
